New Features

  • Introducing Siri AI for Stuff (iOS 27+)
    • You can now create tasks in Stuff simply by asking Siri to do so (”Remind me to do the laundry tomorrow in Stuff”). Over time, Siri can learn your preferences, and automatically default to Stuff as your task manager, so you won’t always need to say “in Stuff” at the end of commands.
    • Edit or get information about Lists and Tasks that are currently on screen (e.g. “Schedule this list for tomorrow” while viewing a list)
    • Add multiple tasks, and create lists, with a single request (e.g. “What would I need to bring on a trip to Tokyo?” … Siri replies … “Add those items to a new list in Stuff called Trip to Tokyo”)
    • Try speaking naturally with Siri about your desired interaction with Stuff, and let me know how it goes!
  • Introducing Tidy Up (available for iPhone 18)
    • Stuff can now proactively suggest improvements to your tasks to help you keep organized, both in your backlog and in tasks as you create them!
    • While adding tasks, Stuff uses on-device Apple Intelligence to proactively recommend Lists, Spaces, or Tags to which this task might belong
    • While Stuff is open on your device, Tidy Up runs in the background and scans your tasks for suggestions of Dependencies, List moves, Tags, Plans, etc. Access all of the suggestions from your Launchpad > Action Menu > Tidy Up.
    • When your Today is overfilled with Tasks, Stuff proactively scans your tasks for Today and recommends Re-Planning some tasks based on priority
  • Stuff is now available in French and Spanish, in addition to just English! More languages to come! 🇫🇷🇪🇸
    • In your Settings in Stuff, you can also choose if you want Stuff to use the System language, or manually override with something of your own choice.
  • You can now drag Spaces and Lists around on the Launchpad, including moving Lists into and out of Spaces, so your Launchpad can stay arranged in exactly the way you expect.
  • You can now edit List Templates! Just tap on a template, tap Edit, and change anything from the Space, Tags, Name, Icon, even add and rearrange tasks and headings.
    • Also, List Templates can now be assigned a Space to which they’ll always be created
  • Introducing the Stuff CLI
    • On Mac, Stuff now comes bundled with a CLI (Command Line Interface), which is particularly helpful for interacting with your data with your Agents!
    • The Stuff CLI can create tasks, query for tasks, update task statuses and other metadata, trash tasks, and more
    • After installing the CLI, ask your agents for interesting data, like: “When am I most productive?”, “Summarize what I completed in the last month”, or “Give me insights on my procrastination patterns”
    • The CLI is available for Extra Stuff members
  • Better Navigation on Mac
    • Forward/Back buttons (or use Cmd-[ or Cmd-])
    • You can now press Shift-Cmd-J on Mac to highlight the currently-active list on the sidebar
    • Breadcrumbs in the title bar give you a better sense of where you are
  • You can now paste using Cmd-V anywhere in Stuff, and your clipboard will be added as a task
    • Pro tip: if you copy formatted Markdown tasks, you can also paste these into Stuff
    • You can also drag text into Stuff from another app to have it create tasks

Smaller Features

  • Design updates on all platforms to feel at-home on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and MacOS 27
    • Standardized Launchpad customization options

    • Widgets now adjust based on your Dynamic text size, and avoid overlapping the Super Button in the bottom right corner
    • Tasks now show their Created date

    • A redesigned onboarding sign up/sign in experience (more screens in Stuff will adopt this design language in coming updates)
  • You can now just tap the notes icon to start editing notes

  • On Mac, Stuff now doesn’t fully close when it’s last window closes. Should be nice for leaving Quick Add still active in the background. (thanks for the feedback!)
  • Added a new “Available” option in the Checkbox menu (when pressing and holding or right-clicking a Checkbox) if the task is otherwise not available
  • You can now rename and delete a tag right from it’s View
  • Cleaned up the menu actions when pressing and holding the Stuff app icon
  • You can now create tasks in a list or space simply by right-clicking (or pressing and holding) on it on the sidebar (or on Launchpad)
  • Searching on the Search page is now dramatically faster
  • You can now disable Quick Add on Mac
  • You can now partially-match tag names or list/space names through Natural Language Processing, making it much easier to do things like using emojis in your tag names 😊 (e.g. typing “High” will suggest the tag “High Priority 🔥”)
  • You can now Option-Click a proposal chip on Mac to add the proposed metadata (e.g. “Tomorrow”) without actually removing that text from the task name
  • Reminders from Stuff are now time-sensitive, so they’ll deliver even while you’re in a Focus
  • A new “Change Icon” button for changing the emoji icon on a list, rather than only the option to remove it or add it
  • Tapping the Created, Completed, or Repeating dates beneath a task will toggle between showing the date and showing the days between that date and now

Blips

  • Fixed some blips with dragging around and rearranging tasks
  • Fixed an issue where scroll bars would sometimes get stuck on Mac
  • Fixed a blip where pasting a really long Note could freeze the app. Long Notes now show a shortened preview so your rows stay easy to scan, and open into a scrollable editor when you click in — nothing you wrote ever gets trimmed.
  • Fixed a blip on Mac where a mouse wheel wouldn't scroll a long Note, and where pressing Tab from a Note could jump you out to the sidebar.
  • Fixed a blip on Mac where Quick Add could cut off the bottom half of a Chipcard toolbar.
  • Fixed a blip where the Single Task widget wouldn’t always open to the task when tapped on.
  • Fixed an issue where range multi-selection couldn’t begin with a List row then select a Task row
  • Fixed a blip where the Leave a Review banner wouldn’t go away until you quit the app
  • Fixed a blip on iPhone where the auto-cancel of multi-select when changing views didn’t always persist, and would multi-select rather than navigate to newly-selected lists
  • Fixed a blip on the Lists Chipcard where it would always show all list results in a Space when searching
  • Fixed a blip where SearchView didn’t support shift-click to select multiple rows on Mac
  • Fixed a blip where tapping “Show completed” on a List would sometimes report that there were no completed tasks briefly before actually showing some completed tasks
